Differences Between Man Ray and Aimee Mann's 'Ray':

1. Man Ray was a cubist. Aimee Mann’s Ray isn’t.

2. Aimee Mann’s Ray was a lonely exile; Man Ray was born in Philadelphia and moved to Brooklyn when he was 7, and to Manhattan when he was 21. He was never exiled.

3. Aimee Mann’s Ray didn’t know Aimee, and neither did Man Ray. I don’t think.

4. Aimee Mann should have been there for Ray but wasn’t, and she probably never was there for Man Ray  either, seeing as how he died in 1976 at age 86.

5. Man Ray photographed Ava Gardner in 1950 when he was 60 years old; Aimee Mann’s Ray didn’t.
